Collaborative Consortium of Slovak, Danish, and Norwegian Institutions Developing a Novel Therapy for Prostate Cancer

Dr. Zvara completed his medical education and training in urology at Comenius University in Bratislava Slovakia. Subsequently he did four years of research and clinical fellowship at the University of California San Francisco, McGill University in Montreal and the University of Toronto. He then worked 20 years at the University of Vermont leading the basic research program in functional urology, erectile dysfunction and neuro-urology. In 2015 he assumed position at the University of Southern Denmark where is a professor in Experimental Surgery at Department of Clinical Research and consultant at the Department of Urology Odense University Hospital. He maintains a position of Adjunct Professor at University of Vermont. His current research focuses on lower urinary tract and erectile dysfunction as well as on prostate disease. He collaborates with clinicians developing animal models, teaches microsurgery techniques in rats and mice and lectures on topics in benign urology.
