Screening of Risk Factors for Noncommunicable Diseases and Biobanking: Experience from the Swiss–Slovak Health Programme
Zora Kľocová Adamčáková, MD, PhD, is a public health physician and Regional Public Health Officer at the Regional Authority of Public Health in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. She specializes in public health, epidemiology, health promotion, and population-based prevention of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).
She graduated in General Medicine from Comenius University in Bratislava and earned a PhD in Public Health from the Slovak Medical University. She holds specialist qualifications in both Public Health and Epidemiology and has completed international training programmes organized by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC/WHO) and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
Throughout her career, she has contributed to several national and international research projects focusing on cancer epidemiology, human biomonitoring, environmental health, and chronic disease prevention. She currently leads the implementation of the Swiss–Slovak Health Programme for population-based screening of NCD risk factors and coordinates activities integrating public health practice with preventive medicine. She also serves as a lecturer at the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Public Health, Slovak Medical University in Bratislava.
